Why WGF

Built Different.
For Girls Who Are.

01
🏈

NFL-Affiliated

We run the official NFL FLAG program — that means real jerseys you keep, professional refs, and a curriculum backed by the National Football League.

02

Trained Parent Coaches

Teams are parent-coached, guided by the official NFL Flag rules and curriculum. It's not a free-for-all — it's structured skill development from coaches invested in their own kids' team.

03
🎯

Two Practices. Real Games.

Monday & Tuesday practices, Sunday games. No 4-night-a-week commitment. Flag football complements your other sports — it doesn't compete with them.

FAQ

Questions?
We've Got Answers.

Zero experience needed. Flag football is designed to be learned from scratch. Many of our players have never touched a football before their first practice — and they love it.
Absolutely. That's actually our most common player profile. Two practices a week and Sunday-morning games make it easy to stack with soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, or anything else she's playing.
No tackle. No contact. Flag football means you pull a flag from a belt to stop a play — it's fast, physical, and competitive without the collision risk. All the football, none of the hits.
Teams are parent-coached, both at practice and on game day, following the official NFL Flag rules and curriculum. Volunteer coaches are always needed — reach out if you want to get involved.
Everything's included in registration. Official NFL jersey, personal flag belt and flags — both are hers to keep after the season. Just bring cleats and attitude.
Honestly? This program was built with her in mind. WGF gives athletic girls a competitive, social, skill-building outlet after the travel soccer window. Many of our best players are former soccer kids.
As part of the Fairfield County Football League, every registered player needs a signed physician's certificate (dated within the last 12 months) and a birth certificate on file. You can register and pay first — uploads can be added afterward from your registration confirmation.
